We Put Poreficient to the Test
Pores. We all have them, and no, you can't erase them.
But you can get smarter about how you care for them.
If you've ever stood inches from the mirror wondering why your pores still look congested after cleansing, your cleanser may only be part of the equation. Oil, dead skin cells and buildup can leave skin looking dull, uneven and congested even when you're cleansing consistently.
That's where beauty technology enters the conversation.
We asked real consumers to put the YA-MAN Poreficient™ Advanced Deep Pore Cleansing Device to the test for 30 days. Participants used Poreficient a minimum of twice per week for four weeks, evaluating performance, usability and visible skin results.
The results? Your Japanese Beauty Bestie has receipts.
The Poreficient 30-Day Consumer Trial Results
100% reported clearer-looking skin
100% reported improved glow and radiance
100% reported smoother skin texture
100% said their skin felt more hydrated
90% reported visibly less congested pores
100% found the device easy or very easy to use
90% said the device met or exceeded expectations
100% said they would continue using the device long term
Those numbers are the headline. But the why behind those results is where things get interesting.

What Is Poreficient?
Poreficient takes a technology-driven approach to at-home pore cleansing. Rather than relying on aggressive suction alone, the device brings together multiple technologies within one pore-care ritual, including ultrasonic cleansing, water-based suction and blue LED technology.
The philosophy is very J-Beauty: don't wage war on your pores. Cleanse intelligently. Respect the skin. Be consistent.
The goal isn't to open, close or eliminate pores. Pores are normal anatomical structures. Effective pore care is about helping remove oil, debris and buildup that can make pores appear more visible or congested while keeping the surrounding skin feeling comfortable and hydrated.
Why Is Ultrasonic Pore Cleansing Different?
Ultrasonic beauty technology uses high-frequency vibrations as part of the cleansing process. In Poreficient, the goal is to help loosen and lift buildup so it can be removed more effectively during your pore-cleansing ritual.
Think of it as prep before extraction. Instead of immediately reaching for stronger suction, you're taking a multi-step approach to cleansing the skin.
Deep Cleansing Doesn't Have to Mean Dry Skin
We've been conditioned to associate “deep clean” with squeaky-clean skin. But that tight, stripped feeling isn't necessarily evidence that your skincare worked.
In the Poreficient trial, 100% of participants reported increased hydration, with no feedback indicating dryness or stripping.
That's one of the findings we're most excited about because it supports a different philosophy of pore care: deep cleansing + hydration can coexist.
Participants frequently described their skin as cleaner, lighter, smoother, more hydrated and more balanced after incorporating the device into their routines. That's what we mean by hydration-first pore cleansing.
What About Blue LED?
Blue LED light is commonly used in beauty routines designed around clarifying blemish-prone and congested-looking skin. Rather than treating blue LED as a replacement for cleansing, think of it as another tool within a more complete pore-care ritual.
Ultrasonic technology helps with cleansing. Water-based suction helps remove loosened debris. Blue LED complements the clarifying ritual. Different technologies. Different jobs. One routine.
Did Poreficient Help With Congested Pores?
This was one of the most important questions going into the trial. After 30 days, 90% of participants reported visibly less-congested pores, with improvements particularly noticeable in congestion-prone areas such as the T-zone.
“My pores became less congested and appeared smaller.”
“Felt like a professional facial at home.”
We're not saying Poreficient permanently shrinks pores. Removing congestion and buildup can help pores appear more refined, which is a much more useful and realistic beauty goal.
The Surprise Result? Glow.
We expected consumers to talk about pores. What stood out was how consistently they talked about glow.
Every participant reported improved glow and radiance, and the majority strongly agreed that their skin appeared more radiant after use.
“Glowing skin after 1–2 uses.”
Pore care isn't only about pores. It's also about the complexion around them.
What About Skin Texture?
100% of participants reported smoother skin texture, with many noting immediate improvement after use.
That's why we think of Poreficient as more than an extraction tool. The goal isn't to obsessively inspect individual pores. It's to create an overall complexion that looks clearer, smoother, fresher and more radiant.
How Often Should You Use an At-Home Pore Cleansing Device?
More isn't necessarily better. Our consumer panel used Poreficient a minimum of twice per week over four weeks. Consistency is more important than turning pore care into a daily battle.
100% of participants rated Poreficient easy or very easy to use, and the device integrated well into existing skincare routines. Some users noted an adjustment period while learning suction control.
The majority experienced no irritation or only mild, temporary sensation, with no reports of adverse or prolonged irritation during the trial.
So, Does an At-Home Pore Cleansing Device Really Work?
Here's what our 30-day consumer panel told us: 100% reported clearer-looking skin, smoother texture, improved glow and hydration; 90% reported visibly less-congested pores.
Those are consumer-perception results, not a promise that everyone will experience identical changes.
But they're compelling validation of something we believe deeply at YA-MAN: the future of cleansing isn't necessarily harsher. It's smarter.
Ultrasonic technology. Water-based suction. Blue LED. Hydration-first thinking. That's Japanese beauty technology meeting modern pore care.
